Biography of Forrest R. Boozer, DDS
Throughout the years Dr. Boozer has had a strong passion for dentistry. His father is a dentist and practiced for over 50 years. In 1991 Dr. Boozer received his Doctorate degree in Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry located in San Francisco. While attending UOP, he received initial training in implant placement. He completed his Doctorate degree in three years, after receiving his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, in 1997. Wanting the best for his patients he then received an implant certificate from the Las Vegas Dental Implant Institute in 2004. He went on to obtain an advanced certificate for applications of implants in January of 2009. His love of implant placement inspired him to continue his implant education through many continuing education courses, with a specific interest in bone grafting and sinus lift procedures.
Memberships in various organizations allow Dr. Boozer to work to his full potential. He is a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the California Dental Association, and the Sacramento District Dental Society. He has a certificate from the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry, allowing him to provide his patients with the Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure (LANAP) for severe gum disease. He is one of only 800 dentists nationwide that have been certified LANAP proficient. Dr Boozer has life membership in the Delta Sigma Delta dental fraternity.
Dr. Boozer has been happily married to his wife Beth for fourteen years and has two sons that keep him on his toes. He enjoys being involved in their sporting activities, and has helped coach several teams. He has donated mouth guards which prevent oral injuries and concussions to local high school football teams. He sponsors local sports teams annually, and enjoys giving his time to local children’s charities. Dr. Boozer also enjoys wood working, camping, skiing, and motorcycles. |
